A Note From the Coach

My ‘buzzword’ for the month of August is: Outrageous. For me this is simply aiming higher, reaching further, thinking bigger and opening up to more extreme possibilities.

I’ve always considered my self an out-of-the box thinker and am known as the Eternal Optimist.

My coach & mentor, Linda Forsythe, has inspired me to simply be more.

Sometimes this is a small shift - other times it is a massive leap of faith.

As you open up to possibilities, the possibilities will open up for you.

My wife, Cheri, although grateful for the opportunities with her prior company, felt that her passion and business goals would be better served with a different company. So, after 8 years, she took a leap of faith and started a fresh journey with Lia Sophia. Click here to see Cheri’s new site.

How Can You Have A Fulfilling Relationship With A Hectic Life?

How magical was your relationship when you first came together? Remember the passion, the desire, the way time seemed to just fly by when you were together, and creep along when you were apart?

How does that compare to the state of the union today? Does the term ‘relationship’ even fit anymore? Has the magic, passion, romance, desire and intimacy disappeared?

It’s not that your life is bad – you have so many blessings in your life that you’re deeply grateful for.

It’s simply that something important, something magical & fulfilling is more of an occasional happening, than the regular priority you desire.

Congratulations on taking the first step: Acknowledging that you have an opportunity. It is so easy to just let things go unsaid and allow important aspects of your life to pushed down in priority.

Obviously, you didn’t choose to put your relationship on the backburner. You’ve done a lot of things right, that shifted the priorities some.

You obviously can’t correct this by yourself. Communicating with your significant other what you’re feeling, and what you’re intending to shift, will be crucial to achieving what you desire.

Few things are as important as your energy, and the space you are in. Simply put, if you are drained or stressed, it doesn’t set the stage for soul-shaking passion.

How does your daily routine support you in being in the space you desire? Are you feeling calm, clear, energized, loving, etc.? Or are you feeling things all too often that you’d rather not feel?

If you have the blessing of being home with young children, it may not position you to be in the energy you desire for the evening. What options do you have to shift gears, to connect with what is important for you?

It is, of course, crucial your partner take care of themselves in a higher way also, to enhance your opportunities to be in the same space at the same time.

What can you do to support each other in your intentions? How can you communicate what you’re thinking & feeling? What can you do to fan the flames of passion in the morning and keep them burning brightly all day long?

Passion is a core energy. To be passionate about something, you have to have passion. And, like other energies, passion must be fed and nurtured.

How will the other activities in your life benefit from you being in a more passionate space?

One of your greatest opportunities is time. If you both have hectic schedules, finding time to be together can be an opportunity. It’s not about putting your love life on a schedule. Spontaneity is indeed a beautiful thing. IF it happens in your world.

To get the passion flow rolling, scheduling (and protecting) your time together, may be your greatest asset.

What opportunities do you have in your joint schedules for time together? If it doesn’t seem that obvious, where can you make some shifts? What can you rearrange to allow some precious time with your beloved, to dedicate to your love?

Be willing to let something go, if it is possible. Determine how you would rate your passion time on a priority basis. Prioritize the other items on your agenda also.

To summarize: You must make YOU a priority. And, you both must make your relationship a priority also.

As you open up to possibilities, possibilities will open up for you.

In Enchanted Love, Marianne Williamson writes that falling in love is not just the initial phase of your journey together. And, your passion, romance & intimacy is not just something that happens on an occasional trip to some tropical place. It is a magic that you CAN experience each day, each moment.

How wonderful would that feel?
