Happy New Year!

The start of the year is one of my favorite times.
While I love the meaning and togetherness of Christmas, the
New Year represents new opportunities to set my intentions and make the shifts to make my vision my reality.

Of course, we have the power to make changes at any
moment that we choose. The New Year simply symbolizes
fresh beginnings for me.

What amazing things are you intending for the New Year?

I don't do resolutions per se. I prefer to be more in the space
of my intentions and my vision. By getting clear on those, I
can then be guided to the inspiration and actions to move toward them.

My primary focus will be on taking care of myself. Ever notice when you get busy, taking care of you becomes your last priority instead of your first?

Considering you are your most important asset, and the most critical component of your success, taking care of yourself is essential to accomplish anything for your business, your life
or your relationships.

For me, it comes down to having a balanced life. This is going
to be my focus for the coming year and is the topic of a complimentary teleclass on January 17th at 9:00pm EST.

Success is an inside job

From the day my wife started her home business, I have been
passionate about how a couple can share a life & business and
be successful together.

Too many women - and some men - have not been able to
interest their partner in the business and they strive for
success alone As a student of success in general, it is evident that success begins with you.

Although it is a joy to share the journey with a significant
other, you alone decide whether you will succeed. Success is
an inside job.

If you do not have the vision, passion and commitment within
you, it is probable that you will not be inspired to consistently
take the actions that will produce success for you.

If you abdicate your motivation to the interest or participation of your partner, you are essentially giving away your power
and guaranteeing that you will fail. It is paramount that you
take ownership of your success. YOU must have the fire
within you. Know that feeling of anticipation where you just
can't wait to get out of bed in the morning and get into what
you love to do? That's what it is all about. If you don't have it
within you, nobody else can give it to you. You can be inspired
by other people, and that is a wonderful feeling. That
inspiration must be converted into action for it to have any
benefit.

Owning your success is also crucial to gaining the support of
your partner.

If you are not fired up about your business, or are obviously
not enjoying what you're doing, that will not be very attractive
to the other half. You may occasionally here some feedback
that you perceive as negative.

Although it can cut a little closer when it comes from someone you love, it can only have an impact on your success if you allow it to. There will be always be a few bumps on your
journey but those don't matter when you keep our eye on the
prize and stay focused on what it is that you are moving towards.

When I coach my clients, we establish 1 clear goal that is the
most important to them and we focus on that until it is accomplished, or the client feels they want to focus on
something else.

The inspiration to make the necessary shifts and take consistent inspired action comes from holding the vision of the way they will feel when they achieve their goal.

If you do not yet have the level of support you desire from your
partner, look inwards. Take care of you, stay connected with
your vision and get into your passion to make it happen.

As always, keep the door open for your partner to join you and share the journey.
