From the heart

My wife and I just returned from a trip to Daytona Beach, where we participated in some events for her successline. For the most part, I did not actually need to be present. I simply love spending time with my wife and this was another opportunity to do so.

My mantra is 'no opportunity wasted'. Whether for my business, my wife's business or our time together, it's my core philosophy. None of us know how much time we have on this planet and not taking advantage of opportunities to be together just doesn't feel right to me.

At the end of the day, if we are too busy for 'us', what is the point of it all?

Because she deserves it

My journey as a supporter and a coach has introduced me to many
women who express a deep desire for more support. In our conversations, they share how they would love for their significant other to believe in her and support her more in her business.

Frequently, when I follow up with them to let them know more about my work and what a difference it can make in their relationship & business, I receive a totally different perspective.

A woman who previously poured her heart out to me about wanting
more from her partner now states that everything is okay and she really doesn't need to ask for more.

Although I respect her position, the words and the music are not quite going together.

My belief is that these great women are now feeling guilty about wanting more from their marriage and their partner, and are not feeling right with asking for something for themselves.

Women are wonderful care-givers and all too often put their needs and desires on the back burner, so as to provide for others.

By making a simple shift in perspective and acknowledging that you are as important as those you love, you can ensure your needs are a priority also.

Just as your family deserves your best, you deserve theirs. All too often, those close to us are not aware of what we are wanting or needing because we feel guilty asking for it.

Try making your partner aware of your needs. You may be surprised at the response.

Because you deserve it.
