A Note From the Coach

My wife and I just returned from a few days in Santa Fe. She
earned the trip for both of us with her business.

It was a wonderful time. Experiencing a new place, great
weather & food, and interacting with other top producers in the
company. And, of course, meeting the Home Office staff who
make it all possible.

I was invited to participate on a panel with 2 other spouses,
where we answered questions on one of my favorite topics –
supporting your wife in her business.

Of course, at an event like that, it’s a little like preaching to the
choir. The men in the room already have the message and know
what a difference they can make.

My passion is serving the women who do not yet have the
support they desire and deserve.

Although no woman actually needs a man in order to be
successful, it makes a huge difference in your life when your
significant other is sharing the journey with you.

My mission is to reach another 1,000 women who desire more
support.

Will you help me make a difference? Please forward this email to
women you know who would like more support from their other
half and who want to succeed together.

My schedule is starting to fill up for Fall. If you would like a speaker for your event, or a teleseminar for your group, click here to contact me.

My life has changed dramatically since my wife started her home
business. I am deeply grateful to all the amazing women who
inspire me and show me what is possible.

I appreciate you.

Feature Article

How can you grow together again?

Have you ever had that feeling that you and your other half have grown apart?

It’s a rather strange feeling to realize that the person you should be the closest to in your life seems more like a stranger to you.

What happened? You’re sharing a life, a home and a bed. You spend most of your time together. How can you feel like you are so distant all of a sudden?

The truth is that it’s notall of a sudden’. It’s been going on for a while, it just hasn’t been that noticeable, or you have chosen to not notice it.

It’s similar to gaining weight. You don’t just wake up one morning with a few extra pounds where you don’t want them. It happens over time. Slowly, gradually. Then one day, you just can’t ignore it any more, and you are not in the space you want to be in.

Life is a wonderful experience. By its very nature, you continue to learn, grow and evolve until the day you are called home.

When two people share a life in a deep, committed relationship, that very process of change can have you both growing in different directions. It’s not growing apart per se, more that you both grew & changed in different ways.

Frequently, when a woman steps into the world of home business, and she realizes the incredible opportunities and the amazing power that she has access to, she obviously wants to live in it. The more you grow, the more you want to grow. And, when you have had a taste of what you can achieve, you will never be the same again. There is no going back.

If your significant other is not sharing the success journey with you, he may observe you changing before his eyes and start to see a gap forming between you both. At which point he may seek to join you in this new world, stay exactly where he is, or resist the changes and struggle to make things be the way they were.

This is the point where you can start to experience some conflicts with your relationship.

So, here you are. It really doesn’t matter where you both are at, or how you actually got here. What matters is where you want to get to.

You know the importance of having your vision – of knowing where you want to get to in your life and your business. Having that clarity gives you purpose, direction and energy.

What is your partner focused on? Do they actually have a vision, or are they just content to take life a day at a time and see what happens?

You are both distinct human beings and it is natural that you will want different things. And, that you will learn, change and grow in different ways & different rates.

So, how does this tie in with your future together?

Imagine 2 circles. 1 represents you, the other your partner. Where the circles overlap is your relationship.

Your circles are free to change, expand, and evolve as is meaningful to you both. As long as you maintain the overlap area, then you have a relationship.

If your circles have drifted apart, then some common ground needs to be re-established in order to continue the journey together.

Just as your personal journey in success and life requires a clear vision to give you direction, your journey together must have some common focal point for you both to align with.

The opportunity lies in defining the common objective that supports you both in your personal journey. Remember always that it must be a win-win. Anything else is a loss. Even though it may seem noble for one partner to make sacrifices, if 1 loses, you both lose.

The key to this process is simply communication. Part of why you realize you feel like you are with a stranger is that you don’t understand where they are at and you are not able to share what’s going on with you.

You must have effective, meaningful communication to move forward in any area of your relationship. And, keep it flowing.

Goals, dreams and visions can change. Know that, as you continue to grow, you will constantly see the world with new eyes and you can guarantee that your vision will shift during the process. And, so will your other half’s.

And that is okay.

Remember always that life is all about being fully who you are in this moment. Although it is good to have a vision of where you want to go or who you want to be, that is in the future. Which isn’t here yet.

If you are not in the space and energy that you want to be in right now, something needs to shift – right now.

The journey that you are on is always about moving forward from where you are, to where you want to be, in a way that is fulfilling for you. And, the same is true for your partner.

Your sole responsibility is to take care of yourself, show up as the real you and uphold any commitments that you have made. When he does the same thing, then you trust the process and allow things to unfold as they will.

If the time comes when it is clear that the paths you both are on cannot possibly lead to a similar place, then you will need to make the decision as to whether you want to continue the journey together or not. You will know what is right for you.

A key to remember is that this journey is about you living the life that you want to live. And, it all starts with you being your true, authentic self right now.

You know how great you are.
